Cropped Haircut, Cropped Top

Wearing: Sachin and Babi crop top, Gap Jeans, Prada sunglasses, Calaxini Sandals, Saks Fifth Avenue Tote. Shot at the Tideline Resort and Spa in Palm Beach, Florida.

Summer ain't over til it's over, and until then, there's a crazy-short haircuts to be had, crop-tops to wear out, and sun to soak up.

This is the shortest my hair has been in a long while, and when I first got the cut, I was in complete shock; I didn't know what to say, and must have fumbled my way out of the salon with only a few words and a 20% tip. By the time I got home, I hated it. I was already reconfiguring the next month or so of my life to accommodate my new plan of never leaving the house again. I tried adjusting my makeup. Nothing. It wasn't until I showered and accidentally let it dry naturally wavy (by "accidentally" I mean I was too tired to blow dry it!) that I realized this cut was really onto something. There's the common misconception that long hair stays less frizzy because it weighs itself down, but not so; shorter, my hair was super healthy, super vibrant, and when air-dried, it was no longer straggly. Pure bounce.

In any case, for this look, I did give it a quick once over with a round brush to smooth away any ocean-air frizz, and a barrage of Living Proof products (I loved the Prime Style Extender) was added insurance.

I had another perfect stay at my fave hotel, the Tideline Resort in Palm Beach. It's worth the trip alone for brunch (the apple oatmeal is tres yummy), lunch (the fish burger - I almost cried while I was eating it) or cocktails (anything Ivan, the bartender, dreams up), although I always try to make it a weekend trip. And I couldn't pass up a quick session of blogging before dinner with a cool glass of wine and the ocean right in front of me. Perfection.

The early afternoon beach scene; apple oatmeal and granola with fruit and yogurt for brunch; fish burger with shaved fennel and salad for lunch.
