The Basics, Not #Basic

When I wear black and white, I tend to go all the way, right down to the sandals. What can I say, I'm committed to the cause. See also: My living room.

For a casual stroll along Charles Street (and some pastry-stalking at Tatte, scroll down for a mouthwatering box cake) I added a pair of non-ironically high-waisted jeans to the mix, which also included politely oversized sunglasses (not quite Rachel Zoe territoire just yet), a tailored blazer and a tank.

I stopped in front of the former Real World Boston house to pay my respects to the late 90's. If you've been wondering about all the abodes from the OG reality TV show, HuffPo just posted a "Where Are They Now" real estate round-up, here. The San Francisco house is available for rent for a tiny monthly fee of $50k, but the firehouse location here in Boston (shown here) was sold in 2005 for $1 to Hill House, a non-profit.
