Sunday Scaries: The Best Bra + The Best Underwear

Sunday Scaries: The Best Bra + The Best Underwear

Welcome to Sunday Scaries, a new weekly segment here on Untouchable Blog. The Sunday Scaries series is here to help fend off your FOM (Fear of Mondays) with a round-up of everything you don’t necessarily need, but will definitely want. I’m going for uplifting, fun, entertaining buys - no basics, just clothes, shoes, accessories and beauty that will make you look forward to the week ahead, if only because you’ll have some très chic packages arriving.

These days, I only buy one bra (in multiple colors, and I get a few new ones a year) and underwear from two different brands. Why? Because I’ve tested enough, and I know what I like, what’s comfortable, and what looks good - for me, that’s a lil cute, a lil flirty, a lil sexy. Fun, but far from costume-y. I also can’t do cheap anymore. It’s gotta be high quality material, thoughtful construction, and made to last.

Before I get into my favorite brands, honorable mention goes to Wama, the best organic hemp underwear. They just added a gorgeous new lavender colorway that I have already Added to Cart.

Let’s get into it, shall we? Without further ado, these are the BEST bra and undies, signed off on by moi. You might be surprised by one of the brands, but I’m telling you - they’re worth the hype!

BRA: Natori Flora Contour Underwire Bra. The perfect amount of lining - not enough to be considered padded but enough to wear under a thinner top. Paired with a gorgeous lace overlay and straps that don’t usually show under a tank top, it’s been my absolute go-to and literally the only bra style I buy for a few years now.

UNDIES - FIRST PLACE: Skims Fits Every Body

I cannot stop buying Skims -they’re just so soft, and thin enough that there’s no bulky lines or extra fabric. There are new color drops every few weeks alongside their wide range of nude colors, and I just get such a thrill when I open my underwear drawer and a Skims pair is right at the top and I get to put them on. Come on - you know what I’m talking about.

A word to the uninitiated - Skims sizing runs SO small! I’m usually a medium across the board in just about everything; in Skims, I wear an L in underwear and tops and an XL in bottoms like sleep leggings. It is what it is, and it’s also a very size-inclusive line which is awesome.

Also - they tend to sell out fast on the Skims website - no doubt part of the marketing plan. But, they’re almost always in stock in Nordstrom stores and online. And, Net-A-Porter carries Skims - the site is basically the Vogue of e-commerce, so being added to their virtual racks (lingerie pun not intended, but I’m rolling with it…) is a huge win for Kim K, solidifying her status as a veritable high-fashion force.

UNDIES - RUNNER UP: LuluLemon UnderEase Line. Lululemon Underease is super similar to Skims Fits Everybody, but the fabric is not quite as thin, which is better for working out or being more active (hello, it’s Lululemon after all!).

Check out a few of my top picks below and let me know what you think of all the brands mentioned here in the comments!
