Sunday Scaries: Floral Wedding Guest Dresses that Aren't Boring
REMINDER: Sunday Scaries is here to help fend off your FOM (Fear of Mondays) with a round-up of everything you don’t necessarily need, but will definitely want. I’m going for uplifting, fun, entertaining buys - no basics, just clothes, shoes, accessories and beauty that will make you look forward to the week ahead, if only because you’ll have some très chic packages arriving.
This Sunday doesn’t feel as scary because it’s a double holiday weekend (Passover and Easter), the sun is out and the leaves are budding. It’s also the start of wedding season - I personally have four weddings this season, and while I typically shop around 3-4 weeks out for events, there is so much out right now that I couldn’t resist.
I’m a bridesmaid in one of the weddings, which is actually this month - my darling and newly minted Cousin-in-Law eloped this winter, and they’re having a Black Tie wedding bash, sans ceremony, in a couple weeks. Since there is no ceremony, being a bridesmaid in this case just means an awesome Bachelorette trip to Montage Palmetto Bluff and coordinated lewks with about a dozen other girls. The bride requested that we wear florals, and it’s been so much fun to shop around for formal florals - the group chat looks like a Met Gala stylists forum. (Luckily, I love florals, especially for weddings - remember the beautiful Carolina Herrera gown from my story “The Wedding Dress that Got Away”?
As I shopped, I’ve been pinning tons of dresses to share on here. Without further ado, here are some more Wedding Guest dresses (and a few accessories) that aren’t boring, featuring florals that aren’t frumpy:
