I'm much more at home in a dress than I am in jeans and a sweatshirt. But when a dress feels like - nay, is quite literally made out of - a sweatshirt like this black and white dress from indie label Lobo Mau, it's never coming off. (Sorry, fellows.)

Summertime strolling in the Boston Commons. For this casual afternoon look, I opted for chic sportif in a breezy Hawaiian print tank top, track pants that are kicked up a notch with a leather waistband, and a tropical baseball cap to keep the sun in check - and my hair in place.

I tend to wear yoga pants like, a lot. But I can safely say I'm equally at home in a silk dress, even if it's just for an impromptu stroll through the South End. Although I'm just real-estate gawking and stoop-sitting this weekend, I can't wait to take this dress out for a summer wedding, baby shower, or rooftop cocktail party.

Black hair, black dress, black leather pants - I'm clearly on a kick. Me, the same girl who thinks orange is the new neutral. And it all started with the pants.

When I wear black and white, I tend to go all the way, right down to the sandals. Here's what I wore for a casual stroll along Charles Street (and some pastry-stalking at Tatte bakery).

When it comes to cut-offs, I'm more into crop tops than daisy dukes. 6-pack or not (not), a beautifully structured high-waisted skirt and a crop top are the perfect pair.

I may not be running in the Boston Marathon this coming Monday (or, ever...) but I can definitely suit up in my finest workout gear for some oh-so-satisfying exercise (and city-gazing) around my neighborhood in the meantime.

I channeled Margot Tenenbaum's style for this quintessentially Spring look from LOFT - a crisp white shirtdress and an equally crisp army jacket in olive. A flowery fabric headband added just a tiny bit of color to the otherwise muted palette, which also included a gray belt and matching sneakers.

You know what's not cute? Plodding through the airport in ratty sweatpants. We've all seen it, and some of us (ahem) have done it. (Hey, it was an early flight!) But you don't need to tell that to Dorian Lightbown, NIC+ZOE founder and CEO, who designs for jet-setting cool girls.

There are so few places in Boston where you can get a Tom Ford makeover, drink a Damascus Date smoothie, shop and shop some more, and then eat yaki soba, all without ever having to face the rain, snow, wind, or extreme heat of any given day in Beantown. (As if!)

When judgement-free noshing on pizza, marathon gossiping, and an improptu pillow fight are the activities of choice, there's no one that can pull it off more fashionably than these girls.
